Armin Schwarz enters his second season at the wheel of the Škoda Motorsport World Rally Team’s Fabia WRC as the most experienced driver currently competing in the World Rally Championship having started 104 WRC rallies at the end of the 2004 season. He will contest all 16 events during the 2005 season.
He debuted in the World Championship with Audi 200 Quattro, but soon he joined the team of Toyota and with their car won Catalonia Rally. That time he won all the 36 speed tests! In 1996 he gained the title of European champion. Beginning from 1999 Armin spent three seasons in Škoda Motorsport Team.
That time he signed the hitherto best success of the team, when finished in the third place of the absolute order in very demanding Safari Rally in 2001. After the first speed test he was even placed first!
